Solid wood floor is a solid piece of timber, cut from a tree milled into a plank and kiln dried; it should be installed in a moisture-controlled environment and is therefore not recommended for areas such as cellars, basements, conservatories or with under-floor
heating systems.

Engineered wood floors have a bit more work involved as they consist of a multi-ply, cross-laid backing with a veneer top layer of a selected species and design. Therefore, due to its construction, engineered flooring is more dimensionally stable and can be installed in areas where solid wood is not compatible. The cost compared to solid wood flooring is cheaper because the wood finish is only on the top layer. For example, if you want an oak finish, then only the top layer is oak and the lower layers will be made of a cheaper wood such as pine.

Ware
Ware is in Hertfordshire, near to the county town of Hertford. The town lies on the north-south A10 road. The railway station is on the Hertford East Branch Line and operated by National Express East Anglia.
History
Ware has been occupied since at least the 4,000 BC.The Romans had a large settlement in Ware and foundations of several buildings, including a temple have been found. [
The modern name of the town dates from the Anglo-Saxon period when weirs were built to stop the invading Vikings from escaping in their longships
It was also a great coaching town, being on the Old North Road, less than a day's journey from London. In the seventeenth century Ware became the source of the New River, constructed to bring fresh water to London.
As an old brewing town, barley was transported in, and beer out via the river. Bargemen born in Ware were given the "freedom of the River Thames" — avoiding the requirement of paying lock dues — as a result of their transport of fresh water and food in during the great plague of 1665–66.
